If life could be experienced one more time, what will do you? Will you find another job? Will you tell the person you had crushed on that you loved her/him? Will you be here now? Will you be the same person as you are today?
“If…” always is an in-depth question to people. Sometimes, people may regret something which has been done before or should have been done before. In the same time, they may consider something they want to make it in the future. Regrets or motivation, it is up to the people.
As common knowledge, we all know that we should look forward instead of living in regrets. (It is easily to say. The feeling is sucks. I may just stuck in there and do nothing.) Personally, I admit that it is hard to move on after you did something really wrong. In another hand, it cannot be denied that sometimes regrets motive people to be better. When “if” comes, apparently it means something bad already happened. The best thing is that we can overcome our failure to keep moving on our life.
I know “if” may mean nothing when bad things happened. But, “if” may remind us to live our life alive. I hope “if” can give your motivation more than bring you regrets. After all, we cannot turn back time, there no such “if” in our life. Learning from it is better than stopping by it.

ReplyDeleteI think that sometimes it is okay to think of how things can be the other way. If is not always come when something bad has happened. I could come when something good occurs. Sometimes you can say that something bad could have happened "if" I did this differently but now I'm happy that everything has gone well. The usage of "if" can be a way for you to reevaluate yourself or situations around you. It's the simplest way to turn around and see things from a different aspect.
ReplyDeleteIf can be useful as long as you don't use it too often and get stuck in thinking what if all the time. Then you wouldn't be able to move on and get trapped in your own thoughts.
It is right that we, people, have to move on and learn something bad from the past. We cannot avoid it and the bad events was made to be solved. As we have no power to know the future, we have to prepare to face anything we should see. Then the "If" comes to the theme.
ReplyDelete"If" is a very good word in planing something you did not do. Once, you practice before the real one comes, it always better. There are many serious problems occur to our planet. Such as El Nino , La Nina that cause serious climate change to many continents. Then, the solution from "If" being used in this condition.
There is more chance that "If" usually shown when people being in a bad way. Most people want to move back to change anything wrong. I think it is great that we cannot move to the past to change somethings. What will be happened if people have no mistake, just because they have some kind of power to freely do time-travel? It may be worst than worth to have it.

Wow... such an amazing topic
ReplyDeleteI admit I did a lot of things that make me regret.I used to think that if I had done something differently in the past, my life could have been much better than it is today.
But.. when I grew up, I have learnt that a lot of things I wanted to change are the things that made me this way. Those things made me be "me" ( the person I am now) and I don't regret for being myself.
I wonder if I actually had a chance to change my past, would I be happier than these days? The answer is " I'm not so sure". Maybe I regret for what I did just because my present does not seem so bright as I expected and I just want to blame the past. Maybe it actually is myself that makes the past looks so terrible because what I have today is not enough.
Therefore, I agree with you that we should consider "if" as motivation so we can move on without any other doubt.
